It is important to remove poop from the Potty to keep it hygienic
The Disposal

Dog Training Tips
You need to be PATIENT and PERSISTENT with your dog to set them up for success on the Potty.
If you show anger or frustration at your dog for not being able to figure it out or for accidents, then that will deter your dog from using the Potty!
Potty on top of pee pad
If you already use pee pads, then place the Potty on top of where the pee pad is normally placed. If you use artificial grass, you can follow same method with it.
Use potty training spray
Put potty training liquid on the Potty will guide your dog to where you want him/her to pee or poop. We provided a 15 ML bottle of Training Spray, but if you use a specific one, then feel free to use that instead. The details for spray provided can be found here...
Pee soaked tissue on Potty
If your dog pees elsewhere accidentally, soak a napkin with pee & put it on the Potty so the pup can familiarize the smell. Do not get mad at your dog, instead get him interested to to sniff his pee napkin on the Potty.
Treats! Treats! Treats!
Positive reinforcement can turn your dog into a perfectly Potty Trained dog. Give your dog treats when you see them use the Potty and have a mini-celebration for the first few days upon successful Potty usage.
Place a target on Potty
You can use a target with your pet's scent on it. Some pooches, especially males, love targets! Easy targets can be rocks, sticks or even a small traffic cone.
Dog on leash on Potty
Put your dog on a leash, as if going on a walk (at normal walk time) & take him/her to the Potty & ask your dog to "go." Stand in a way that your dog is unable to get off the Potty. Do this for 5 minutes at a time at the max.
Location consistency
It is important to establish one location for the Potty so you do not confuse your dog. The location should be accessible to your dog at all times so they can easily "go" on the Potty when nature calls..
Watch potty-time signs
Watch for signs your dog needs to go-- coming to a sudden halt, circling, sniffing in a dedicated manner, or dropping his/her bottom. If you see these signs, distract your dog & take him/her to the Potty.
Our Experience
We spent the few weeks testing the Potty with our own fur-children who are trained to use POGs (grass boxes) and were not at all familiar with this new Potty. Here's how it went...
Day 1
The Setup
We placed the Potty in the balcony as that's where our girls are used to going to take care of business. Initially we were testing a few different variations, hence you see 4 different trays.
The set on the left is actually placed on top of a pee pad and the set on the right is placed on a fresh Pog we received that day.
Day 1
The Accident
An hour after the setup, Pixel (the one in the back) came in and look very guilty. Luna (the fur-ball in the front) was protecting Pixel as I asked her what she had done.
Upon going in the balcony, I discovered that Pixel had an accident on the opposite end of the balcony to where their Potty setup was.
Day 1
The Tissues
After cleaning the mess, I placed 2 pee soaked tissues on the Potty.
I ensured that I don't show any frustration about this to Pixel as I did not want her feeling worst about what she had done. She just followed me around as I did all this, not leaving my side for a second.
Day 1
Pixel's Success
I then took both the girls to the Potty area to show them the napkins and tried to keep them on the potty for a few minutes.
Pixel got the hint and peed right where she was supposed to. We then had a mini-celebration that had lots of treats and playing Pixel's favourite game.

PIXEL STARTED TO USE THE NEW POTTY FROM THIS POINT ON TO TAKE CARE OF ALL HER BUSINESS!
Luna refused to use the Potty all of Day 1 and only relieved herself when we went for our evening walk.
Day 2
The Stubbornness
Luna refused to step on the Potty all morning on Day 2 and even reduced her water consumption (she's smart).
Day 2
The Talk
Pixel then had a talk with Luna to explain to her that she can't keep this up and has to relieve herself.
Day 2
The Investigation
I kept taking Luna to the Potty throughout the day for 5 minutes at a time and trying to get her to "go".
Day 3
Luna's Success
FINALLY in the morning of Day 3, Luna realized it had been enough of the stubbornness and started to use the Potty from then onwards.

We have successfully been using the Potty since August 9th in our home and haven't replaced it yet. The girls love it and so do we because there is no maintenance and no odour at all.
FAQs
How will the Potty help me?
The Potty is all about making the lives of paw-parents more convenient when it comes to potty time! The guilt of thinking about your poor, furry baby waiting to go potty is a thing of the past thanks to the Potty which is a useful, convenient, safe, and eco-friendly solution for parents everywhere!
You’ll find that Potty is a perfect solution for:
- • house-training a puppy
- • apartment residents that don’t have the luxury of a backyard
- • busy professionals that can’t always make it home at the same time
- • senior dogs with incontinence and/or arthritis
- • avoiding the late night walk in the cold/rain/snow
- • pet parents tired of the smell and maintenance from artificial grass
- • folks who have tried real grass solutions but don't like the smell, maintenance, or the higher cost of having it delivered
- • homeowners that want to have a dog run on the side of the house in order to protect their grassy backyard
How does it work?
Dogs just use the Potty any time they want as long as you place it in an accessible position indoors or outdoors. As your dog urinate on the Potty the all natural materials in the Potty soak up liquid like grass would at a dog park. The plastic tray catches liquids to allow the natural materials to soak it in overtime. When your dog poops on the Potty, you simply need to pick it up, just like you do when walking your dog normally.
How do I clean runny poo from the Potty?
Wait until the poo sets and solidifies. Once it's hardened you should be able to pick it up.
Will it leak on my carpet?
During our testing, we found that the plastic tray contained all liquid after most uses which was eventually absorbed by the natural materials . However, if your dog urinates close to the edge of the potty then it may not stay inside of the potty and will leak.
Do I need to clean the Potty?
You won’t need to worry about cleaning the potty, because much like the Pog, we will have subscriptions for the Potty, so when it gets too soiled to use, another clean one will be ready to replace it. Each one is disposable and recyclable, lasts up to a month depending on usage, and you only need to pick up solids as if you would when walking or in a dog park.
Age-old problems with scrubbing astro turf or cleaning the leaked pee pads are no longer a problem.
How can I order a Potty or signup for the subscription?
We are currently in the testing phase of the Potty. We want to perfect the product based on feedback from the families testing the Bark and will then have it available for sale on our website. You should follow us on Instagram ad Facebook to stay up to date on all Potty news.
